It’s beginning to look a lot like a Clearpoint Christmas…

It’s December, and Christmas isn’t far away – it’s safe to say that 2019 has flown by.

And what a great year it’s been for Clearpoint Recycling – if we do say so ourselves! So, given there’s no better time to reflect and look back on the achievements of the past 12 months, here are our top highlights from the year in the final blog this side of the New Year.

Achieving our ISO 9001 certification

As an ethical broker for the industry’s recyclable materials, industry accreditations really matter to us. We wear this particular quality standard with pride, as it shows that our services meet customer and regulatory requirements – testament to the great work the Clearpoint team put in day after day.

Being named an Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management finalist

Back in April, we were in the three shortlisted companies battling for ‘Paper Recycling Business of the Year’. We may not have scooped the top spot this time round, but we’ve got a good feeling about 2020…

Making the finalists’ list for Harrogate Advertiser’s Excellence in Business Awards

We were also lucky enough to be finalists in the ’Best Medium Business’ category of this award stream.

Welcoming a record number of staff to the team

It’s no secret that 2019 was the biggest year to date for the number of appointments. In fact, we’ve employed 25 new people over the last 12 months – making us a 44-strong team and counting!

Celebrating the Women’s Recycling Alliance’s first birthday

As the first organisation to back the WRA in its efforts, we always love to hear about the fantastic work the team is up to – and show our support at the quarterly events.

The WRA celebrated its first 12 months in existence back in October, and we’re looking forward to seeing what further activities the initiative has in store for 2020.

Strengthening our fibre division

We mentioned that it’s been our biggest year to date for new starters – across all departments – but welcoming Andrew Perkins on board as our new head of paper will be crucial in driving our fibre operations strategy forward in 2020.

Maintaining our sparkle

This one’s a little different to the rest, but we couldn’t finish speaking about the year’s achievements without giving a HUGE shout-out to our staff!

Often when companies grow fast, they lose what makes them unique – we’re proud to say this isn’t the case with Clearpoint. Although we’ve welcomed lots of new faces to the workforce, we’re still the same friendly bunch of people who always have time for one another and our customers.

Wishing all our clients, colleagues, friends and family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Please note our offices are closed on the 25th and 26th of December and Wednesday the 1st of January. There will be someone available on all other days throughout the Christmas period.
