Material Background: Mixed plastic and cans, comes to site loose. Overband magnet then removes all Ferrous metals, Eddy Current then removes Non-Ferrous metals, Plastic then goes through an Optical sorter first positively targeting PET which gets bunkered then baled, Second targets HDPE Natural & White – this gets bunkered then baled.
Remaining plastic falls into a bunker – this then gets run through the plant on a second shift where the first optic positively targets PP and the second positively targets remaining plastics. Before all grades are bunkered to be baled.
