The Women’s Recycling Alliance is hosting its first-ever virtual event

We’re excited to announce that this week, our founder, Sarah Sanpher-McDowell, be taking to the ‘virtual’ Zoom stage and hosting the WRA’s first ever online event.

On Wednesday 4th November, we’ll be firing up our laptops and getting ready for a day of e-networking and learning with like-minded ladies within the sector – and we can’t wait!

Similar to the workshops we’ve held to date, the day will be split into two parts – a morning and afternoon session – with plenty of extra time for catching up and sharing our experiences from the past year in industry.

What’s on the agenda?

Part one – taking place 9:30am-12:30pm – will focus on personal development, and Maxine Redhall from The Springboard Consultancy will be hosting a ‘time management skills and maximising your effectiveness’ workshop for delegates.

And after a break for lunch – whether that be spent cooking, dog-walking or catching up on emails – we’ll be reconvening on Zoom at 2:30pm and putting our ‘industry hat’ on, ready for an hour-long presentation from our guest speaker, Jonathon Bell.

Jonathon is a solicitor at Fieldfisher who specialises in the regulation of waste, recycling and international shipment of commodities, so there’ll definitely be lots of interesting points for us to discuss as a group afterwards.

How can I join in the fun?

We know everything’s a little uncertain at the moment, but all we can do is keep safe and carry on – that’s why we really didn’t want to cancel our event!

Also, if you’ve never attended a WRA event and want to know what to expect, head over to our blog where you can find out the top seven takeaways from our October 2019 conference, along with our group debate on the circular economy.

So, if you’re thinking ‘where can I sign up?’, no fear, you can book your place via our dedicated Eventbrite page.
