Buyer/Account Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated, personable and driven individual to join our expanding commercial team. Having industry experience is not required but having an optimistic outlook and positive attitude to learn certainly is. Acting with integrity, thinking about the long-term and being innovative, agile and adaptable are all desirable attributes of the ideal candidate.

At CPR we pride ourselves on our company culture, we have a strong team mentality and good sense of humour! We appreciate that there is a lot to learn from grades of material to site processes, so we offer full support, training and shadowing to allow you to confidently and comfortably embrace the role.
As a buyer there is an obligation to travel to the accounts you manage, this is to view material for potential purchase, understand process, complete any compliance requirements and of course build rapport. Company car allowance is part of the package and includes mileage relief.
Targets are set in line with the company plan/focus and although this is a target driven role, they are set based on fair and reasonable numbers, staggered accordingly throughout the first year of employment. We are committed to maximising longevity so unlike other commercial roles, our intent is to create the opportunity for long-standing employment.
We offer a competitive uncapped commission scheme and this role allows for hybrid working. Working from home, the office and being out on the road means that no two weeks are the same. Each buyer has the novelty of managing their own diary and travel which gives the freedom to work autonomously.

List of responsibilities (although not limited to):
– Developing new accounts sent directly from our internal Lead Qualifier and nurturing existing accounts – maximising long-term business opportunities from all.
– Travelling to various accounts throughout the UK to view material, understand quality, process, build rapport and carry out compliance requirements.
– Staying focused on the company plan and pushing opportunities in line with this.
– Liaising with the sales/commercial team about opportunities and about where to focus.
– Following internal process about what important information is required when offering material to the sales team.
– Managing own diary accordingly to maximise ability to hit targets.
