Clearpoint Recycling Secures Exclusive Feedstock Supply and Polymer Off-Take Partnership with Enviroo

Clearpoint Recycling has signed a landmark exclusive agreement with Enviroo, a specialist in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling. The strategic partnership will see Clearpoint supply over 30,000 tonnes of PET material annually to Enviroo’s state-of-the-art recycling facility at Protos Park, Ellesmere Port, set to open in 2027.

The multi-year, nine-figure contract marks a major milestone in the UK’s recycling landscape, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to driving a sustainable circular economy. The facility will convert waste PET into certified food-grade recycled PET (rPET). This will help meet the growing global demand for high-quality, sustainable packaging. As part of the agreement, Clearpoint Recycling will be responsible not only for sourcing and supplying the PET feedstock but also for managing the sales of the recycled output. This positions the company at the heart of a circular supply chain. Also, it strengthens the UK’s infrastructure ahead of the Government’s planned Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), also expected to launch in 2027.

Clearpoint Recycling and Enviroo celebrates this big milestone

Mark Garrett, Managing Director of Clearpoint Recycling, said:

“The plant is a much-needed outlet for PET to be converted into certified food-grade rPET, which the UK market is crying out for. This partnership enables us to remain independent while creating high-skilled jobs across our business units and reinforcing our commitment to sourcing locally and selling globally. We look forward to collaborating with existing and new suppliers to ensure the success of this vital facility.”

The deal is expected to create numerous skilled roles across both commercial and operational areas of the business. It comes as Clearpoint continues to expand, including its recent entry into the European market.

Ahmed Detta, CEO of Enviroo, added:

“This landmark agreement with Clearpoint Recycling is a significant step forward in strengthening the UK’s circular economy. By securing a consistent, high-quality supply of PET material, we are ensuring that our Ellesmere Port facility plays a crucial role in turning waste into valuable, certified, food-grade rPET. It also contributes to job creation, community development, and innovation across the recycling sector.”

Enviroo – a specialist plastics recycler able to completely recycle PET

The company’s processes allow for 100% of PET (the primary material used for food and beverage packaging, such as plastic bottles) to be recycled. This helps to divert it from landfills and prevent it from polluting oceans. By transforming the PET plastics recycling industry through innovative practices and a strong ethos of transparency and sustainability, Enviroo is actively building high-impact recycling plants focused on efficient production and long-term operations. Recognising the need to reimagine the recycling industry, Enviroo is leading intelligent initiatives that promote collaboration among consumers, governments, and operators. Its mission is to build a transparent and sustainable circular economy that drives real change in how society interacts with plastics.
