Material Background

Plastics originate from co-mingled material that arrives on-site from local kerbside collections – no glass. The material is loaded onto a conveyor and onto a picking station where a QC process removes any large or obvious contamination. Firstly 2d materials are targets such as cardboard and plastic film which are hand picked bunkered and baled. From there a magnet targets steel cans and then an eddy current targets aluminium cans both of these metals are bunkered and baled.  Further QC checks are made once bunkered.
