Material Background:

Material is first broken open using a large crane and any obvious contamination removed. Material is then loaded into the hopper using the crane where there is a manual quality control step to remove larger items, followed by a overband magnet used to extract ferrous materials on to a separate conveyor.  This material passes through an Eddie current to capture any non-ferrous material (aluminium) that has made it onto this conveyor. Back to the original stream and if required there is potential for extra manual quality control steps to remove further contaminants followed by an Eddy Current Separator to capture non-ferrous materials (Aluminium) and this material is then runs through to the baler.  The finished aluminium bales are stored under tarpaulin in the yard.
