Material Background:

Plastics originate from co-mingled material that arrives on-site from local kerbside collections – no glass. The material is loaded onto a conveyor and onto a picking station where a QC process removes any large or obvious contamination. Firstly 2d materials are targets such as cardboard and plastic film which are hand picked bunkered and baled. From there a magnet targets steel cans and then an eddy current targets aluminium cans both of these metals are bunkered and baled. HD NAT Bottles are then hand picked out, bunkered and baled.
