Material Background: Domestic material collected loose – Plastic and metals. Material runs through the MRF where it goes through a picking cabin to remove any large items. A ballistic separator and then through an overband magnet to remove ferrous, eddy current then removes non ferrous. Optical sorter then removes HDPE Natural before the remaining plastics fall into a bunker to be baled. Due to the plant having to run quicker than usual some of the HDPE Natural falls into the mixed grade.
