Material Background: Domestic kerbside material – comes in co mingled – goes through a bag breaker and runs through a trommel to separate smaller materials –NIR sorters – target N&P, HPDE, PET –  they have magnet and eddy current to separate metals – they then go through QC cabins with 2 people per line – N&P,HDPE,PET,OCC,Mixed paper,Ali. Picked for obvious contam. Bunkered then baled. – once baled they are dressed for obvious contam. The mixed plastic is the last thing to fall off the belt – no QC done on this grade.
